Scar on Forehead birthmark right thigh. Landed France 13/02/1915. Commissioned 04/12/1915 Border Regiment.

Attached Sherwood Foresters invalided to England after an accident in May 1916. KIA in a counter attack between Boiry-Rictrude and Moyenneville. WRIGHT Robert Alban Serjeant 15/662 14th Bn Royal Warwickshire Regiment (Birmingham Pals) KIA 13/04/1918 Aged 23.  Born Bedford 1895. Son of Reverend Alban Henry Born Brazil Died 1896 and Mary Jane Moore Married 1882 District of Strokesley North Yorkshire. Enlisted Birmingham Residence at time of Enlistment Shirley. Landed France 21/11/1915. Robert was KIA during the Battle of Hazebrouk opposite Chateau Les Lauriers defending Nieppe Forest (Click Here for Details of the battle)  Thank You to Graham Wright of Northallerton for the following information. "There is a commemorative plaque for Robert on a chair in The Lady Chapel of Church of St Peter (Leeds Parish Church) Robert is also remembered in the Birmingham Book of Remembrance in Birmingham Hall of Remembrance. In The Register of Soldiers Effects his sister Katherine is shown as being the sole legatee.  Originally Laid to Rest at Hault and in 1919 finally Laid to Rest Melville Communal Cemetery Extension Somme France. Sister Katherine Jane placed the following on Robetrts Grave stone "We Which Have Believed Do Enter into Rest"

Son of Edward and Ellen Coggill Married 1877 Leeds Registered Building. Husband of  Maud Horsey Married 29/03/1913 St Marks Woodhouse residence 187 Woodhouse Street Occupation Plumber. A son Edward was born in the December period of 1913. Originally laid to rest 26/05/1919 in a trench grave near to Harbonnieres.
