1918: Enlisted Royal Flying Corps 31st January Occupation Auctioneer. YEP reported that he worked at Revis and Shaw Auctioneers.

described as Being 5 feet 6/1/4 inchest tall Grey Eyes Grey Haid scar on his nose.

1918: Passed away Lowestoft Isolation Hospital Influenza Pneumonia ( Spanish Flu) Mother Residence No 209 Hyde Park Road.

​

1918: Laid to Rest 15th November next to his father.

​

1935: Mother Helen Passed away 10th December Laid to Rest next to Walter in the family plot.

​

1890: Born Leeds, Son of Samuel and Ann Foulds.

​

1907: Death of Mother Ann aged 52 26th March Laid to Rest Leeds General Cemetery Grave/Plot No 395.

​

1911: Residence No 30 Rosebank Road Woodsley Road Occupation Compositor.

​

1914: Enlisted Leeds 7 days after war was declared on the 10th August, Arthur saw service at Becketts Park known in WW1 as the 2nd Northern General Hospital.

​

1918: Admitted 2nd February to the Blackpool Borough Sanatorium for Tuberculosis of the left lung.

​

1918: Discharged no longer fit for war service 21st March. Arthur was described as being 5ft 8 inches tall with blue eyes and brown hair.

​

1919: Passed away in Seacroft Hospital laid to Rest 19th April.

​

1930: Death of Father Samuel Aged 77 Laid to Rest next to Arthur in Grave/Plot No 9942.

​

1936: Death of Sister Hilda aged 50 Laid to Rest next to Arthur in Grave/Plot No 9942.

1898: Born Leeds 06th May Son of  William and Esther Ann Cass.

​

1898: Baptised 22nd May.

1901. Passing of Mum Esther 10th November Aged 34 Laid to Rest Leeds General Cemetery Grave/Plot No 6232.

​

1911: Residence at Leeds Guardians of the Poor School No 34 Hamilton Avenue Chapeltown Road.

​

1914: Enlisted 8 days after war was declared 11th August in Leeds, giving his age as 17 Years 90 Days Old. Described as being 5feet 4 inches tall with brown eyes and hair.

​

1916: Posted France 19th April. 06th June Head Left side of Chest wounds due to a shell explosion.

​

1917: Posted back to France 15th August at Loos recived Gun Shot wound to the head.

​

1917: Discharged 28th October due to Gun Shot Wounds to head 60 per cent damage reported and his right eye was destroyed.

​

1919: Passed away at Leeds Infirmary from his wounds Laid to rest 16th October.

​

1880: Born Leeds Son of Alfred and Hannah Wilkinson.

1893: Leeds Times reported 8th July that Charley had passed an examination for the Leeds Technical Scholership the prize being free train fares and cost to attend a secondary school for two years.

​

1901: Residence No 5 Chestnut Grove Calverley Occupation Clothing Assistant.

​

1905: Married Emily Light 14th August at All Souls Church Leeds.

​

1911: Residence No 42 Harold View Burley.

​

1918: Passed away Killingbeck East War Hospital due to Nephritis (Inflamation of the Kidneys) Laid to Rest 12th June.  12152

​

1917: Passed away Tuberculosis of the Lung  Grantham Military Hospital. Kathleen was residing 251 Park Lane in Leeds. Laid to Rest 06th November.

​

1920: CWGC Gave Kathleen residence as No 110 Council Avenue North Road Gipsyville Hull.

1916: Passing of brother Joseph Aged 36 29th May. Joseph was suffering from stress and was due to enlist he sadly cut his own throat being found by his wife Laid to Rest in family Grave/plot 9442.

1917: Discharged 17th October.

​

1918: Probate details gave James Frank Foulkes £172. 9 Shillings Residence for Goerge was No 9 Hanover Street Park Lane.

​

1918: Passed away effects of Gas Poisoning Laid to Rest in the family plot Grave/Plot 9442 01st July.

WALKER Frederick William

Company Quartermaster Serjeant 5417 3rd Bn West Yorkshire Regiment DIED 07/12/1915 Aged 34.

​

1882: Born Huddersfield Son of Joseph Briggs and Emma Stancliffe.

​

1899-1902 Frederick fought in the Boar war seeing two years five months service in South Africa.

​

1902-03: Posted to India with the West Yorkshire Regiment spending 10 years there.

​

1909: As a Serjeant Frederick on the  07th April was initiated into the Free Masons in Rawal Pindi India. 

​

1911: Residence Connaught Barracks Rawal Pindi Punjab India 7th April Serving in the 1st Bn West Yorkshire Regiment Rank Corporal.

​

1911-1913: Returned to England and to Leeds working as a postman.

​

1914: At the outbreak of war was a reservist in the West Yorkshires. Landed as part of the original British Expeditionary Force being an Old Contemptible being Injured at the battle of the Aisne spending time in Hospital in Oxford.

​

1915: Passed away from Meningitis whilst visiting his Brother Norman at Alcester Terrace Harehills. B

​

1917: Grave registration report 27th July States that Fredericks grave stone was paid for by his brother Norman and other Serjeants and Warrant Officers of the West Yorkshire Regiment.

1911: Residence  No 13 Leicester Terrace at School.

​

1917: Walter sadly committed suicide at Catterick Military Hospital and was Laid to Rest on the 18th April. Grave Registration 17th July states War Grave.

​

1919: Passing of father William Aged 61 18th January Laid next to Walter. 

​

1895:  Born Leeds Son of John a Clerk and Emma. 

​

1911: Residence No 17 Spring Grove Terrace Burley.

​

1915: Enlisted Leeds 1st November being described as 5ft 8.5 inches tall with a Fair complexion occupation Packer.

​

1916: Left Southampton 6th November landing a day later at Rouen France.

​

1917: Wounded in action 31st December.

​

1918: Returned to duty 01st January.

​

1918: Wounded in action 4th September sent to 14th General Hospital Wimeraux France. Leaving for England on the 8th September.

​

1918: Admitted to No 3 Northern General Hospital Sheffield 08th September for sever left leg and buttock wounds caused by shrapnel. 

 

1918: Recorded as passing away at 08.00 hrs on the 23rd November. Charles was Laid to Rest 28th November Next to His Father.

​

1922: Mother Emma received 2 war medals for Charles on 5th June.

​

1926: Pension documents show Charles Mum Emma was Residing at No 3 Hall Grove Hyde Park.

​

1916: Discharged Herne Bay Kent no longer fit for war duty 03rd May due to constant pain in chest and difficulty breathing.

1917: Passed away Heart Condition Killingbeck Hospital Leeds Laid to Rest 24th November.

1909: Joined the freemasons 31st July in Calcutta India.

​

1914: Called up to Lincolnshire Regiment.

​

1915: Passed away cause Ruptured Blood Vessel. Laid to Rest 17th February.

​
