February to March 1916 Hospital in Rouen with Flu. On 03/05/1917 at 03.45 am Tom along with his Battalion advanced East of Bullecourt Village Private G. P Owen 6800 reported that he had seen Tom with a bad head and shoulder wound only being recognised by his papers, having been killed by a shell along with 2nd Lt V. B. Daniel, and  Pvt J. L. Slavin   Military Medal and Pvt G. R.
